Savestreak

Privacy policy

Effective 15 October 2026. Applies to the Savestreak app for Android (package app.savestreak) and to this website.

The short version. Savestreak has no accounts and no server of its own. Your challenges, daily answers, urges and settings are stored only on your phone. The app talks to two outside services: Google Play, when you buy or restore Savestreak Pro, and Google Analytics for Firebase, which counts anonymous usage events so we can see which features are used. You can turn the usage events off in Settings. We never see your name, email, contacts or bank details.

Who we are

Savestreak is published by an independent developer. For anything in this policy, write to support@savestreak.app.

Data stored on your device

The app keeps the following in a local database on your phone:

This data never leaves your device through Savestreak. It is not synced, backed up by us, or sent to anyone. If Android's own backup is turned on for your device, Android may include the app's data in your Google account backup under Google's terms; we do not have access to it.

Savestreak Pro can export this data as CSV files from Settings. The files are created on your phone and handed to the app you pick in the share sheet; where they go from there is up to you.

The home-screen widget and the daily reminder are generated on the device from this same data. The share card is an image rendered on your phone and handed to the app you choose in the Android share sheet; we do not receive the image.

Purchases

Savestreak Pro is sold through Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment; we never see your card or bank details. To check that a subscription is valid and to restore it on a new phone, the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase management service acting on our behalf. RevenueCat receives:

RevenueCat keeps this for as long as needed to manage the subscription. See the RevenueCat privacy policy. Google's handling of your purchase is covered by the Google privacy policy.

Analytics

The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to count how its features are used. The events are: challenge started or ended, check-in recorded or cleared, freeze used, urge logged or decided, share card created, paywall shown, Pro unlocked, and reminder set. Each event carries only the detail needed to understand it, for example the challenge length or the weekday, never free text you typed, prices, or item names.

Firebase assigns the app installation a random identifier and records device information such as model, Android version, language and the country derived from the network. This helps us see what is used, find problems and decide what to build next. It is not used for advertising, and we do not combine it with anything that could identify you. Google processes this data under the Firebase privacy and security terms.

You can turn this off. In the app, open Settings and switch off Share anonymous usage data. From then on no events are collected on that device; the switch is remembered until you turn it back on.

Permissions

PermissionWhy
NotificationsShow the daily reminder you set in Settings. Nothing is scheduled until you turn it on.

InternetGoogle Play Billing and Firebase Analytics, as described above. The app has no other network use.

Children

Savestreak is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Keeping and deleting data

Everything in the local database stays on your phone until you delete it: clear the app's storage in Android settings or uninstall the app. Purchase records stay with Google and RevenueCat under their policies. To have the RevenueCat identifier and its purchase history deleted, or the analytics data for your installation, email support@savestreak.app from the device and we will handle the request within 30 days.

Changes

If the app starts collecting something new, this page is updated first and the effective date at the top changes. Material changes are also mentioned in the app's release notes.
